David Ferrera’s career is driven by a belief that meaningful innovation happens at the intersection of engineering discipline, clinical insight, and entrepreneurial courage. Raised in Leominster, Massachusetts, David spent 30 years building the foundations of resilience, curiosity, and teamwork that would later define his leadership style. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Plastics Engineering from University of Lowell (now UMass Lowell), where he also competed as a collegiate baseball player—an experience that reinforced the importance of preparation, adaptability, and trust in a team. Throughout his career, David has embraced both success and failure as essential components of progress. He views mistakes not as setbacks, but as necessary steps in learning and growth—an outlook that has guided him through company formations, acquisitions, and technology breakthroughs. His entrepreneurial journey reflects a consistent pattern: identifying unmet clinical needs, assembling exceptional teams, and translating innovation into solutions that matter. Beyond product development, David is deeply committed to service and philanthropy. He has served on numerous boards, including Innervate Medical, Vasometrics Medical, Mehana Medical, SAGE Orange County, Spinal Singularity, and the American Heart and Stroke Association – Orange County. He was honored to serve as Chair of the American Heart Association’s Heart & Stroke Ball in both 2020 and 2021, supporting cardiovascular and stroke research initiatives. Outside the office, David enjoys travel, wine, golf, ice hockey, and time with his family—interests that help him maintain balance while leading at the forefront of medical technology.
